The Cheese School of San Francisco

Corporate and Custom Events

The Cheese School facility is available for corporate and private events for groups of 20 or more. We generally offer two approaches:

Private Class Events:

For a structured private class, we require a minimum of 20 people and can accommodate a maximum of 30.  Sponsors or hosts of a private event may choose whichever from among any of our regular class topics.  Some of our most popular topics for private classes are Cheese & Wine Pairing, Basic Cheese Primer, Cheeses of California and Cheeses of France.  The cost is $75 per person and, as with our standard classes, private classes typically include a plentiful selection of cheeses, several wine or other beverage pairings, and a range of carefully selected accompaniments. While our standard classes last two hours, our private classes start with an additional 30-minute period before the class begins for guest arrival and mingling, with wine served.

Cocktail Party-Style Events:

For larger groups that want a less structured way to enjoy and learn about cheese, we offer cocktail party-style events. For these, we require a minimum of 30 people and can accommodate a maximum of 75.  We set up a cheese table with appropriate cheese selections and accompaniments which you and your guests can enjoy buffet style, along with wine selections.  An expert host will be behind the table to discuss the cheeses and answer questions on an informal basis for guests who care to learn more. The cost is $45 per person.

Off-Site Events:

The Cheese School faculty can sometimes also arrange a custom event off-site, at a location of your choice, for an additional fee.

To Book an Event:

Please give us a call at 415-346-7530 to discuss your needs. Once we have the information we need from you, we will send a written proposal. Once you have reviewed the proposal, we require a $500 deposit to confirm your acceptance and secure the event date.
